After four months, we can begin establishing self-soothing strategies through sleep training! Don’t worry- I’ll never recommend cry-it-out.

Being well-rested is one of the most basic human needs. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs puts sleep on the base level along with food, shelter, water and air. It is one of the core elements within the foundation of human needs. You can begin formal sleep training with your baby at four months. During the 4-17 month range, so much growth and development are happening with your child. Restorative rest is vital for maximizing this growth potential. Growth spurts not only occur during sleep but are also significantly influenced by sleep. The growth hormone (GH) is released in higher quantities during a specific sleep phase. Establishing a predictable and age-appropriate schedule will help your baby get the most out of their rest. 

Maybe you never expected it to be this challenging. As you navigate feedings, diaper changes and mountains of laundry, sleep can often take the back burner. You’ve wanted to prioritize sleep but never thought it would feel so complicated. Maybe you feel like the questions vastly outnumber the solutions, and no amount of late-night Googling has solved your dilemma. When your sweet babe isn’t sleeping well, the whole family feels that repercussion. It’s easy to start habits we said we’d never entertain when we are desperate for sleep. This is often the phase when sleep props are established.

Complete your sleep questionnaire. I’ll send you a form asking questions relating to your child’s current feeding and sleep habits. This questionnaire helps me learn more about your family’s current situation and desired sleep goals so I can customize a sleep plan to set you and your child up for success.

Let’s get started! We will select a date and time to discuss all the details of your child’s custom sleep plan. I’ll make sure that we have lots of time together to clarify any questions or concerns you may have. Once we have gone over your plan, we’ll pick a start date, and I’ll support and guide you as you implement the plan. During our time together, we’ll be in touch through the Rested app (sleep log, chat and voice memos) along with email and any phone calls your sleep package outlines. This is the step where families find sleep success! Yes, you can search for a generic plan on the internet. Still, nothing beats the dedicated support you receive through working with a sleep consultant. I’m here to support and encourage you!

Hi there, I’m Jenna is a wife, mother, and certified pediatric sleep consultant. My bedroom is my favourite place in my home, and for as long as I can remember, sleep has always been so important to me! By ensuring we have enough quality rest, we can better show up to parenthood with patience, compassion, and love. Our children also benefit significantly from being well-rested.
